A leading UK environmental consultancy is seeking a Senior Flood Risk & Hydraulic Modelling Consultant to join its growing Water Team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced modeller to contribute to high-profile projects across multiple sectors, while developing their career within a supportive and forward-thinking organisation.

Recognised as a top-tier provider within the UK environmental and sustainability sector, the organisation regularly contributes to government advisory groups, major planning inquiries, and large-scale development projects.
This consultancy is looking for a Senior Consultant with 4+ years’ experience in hydraulic modelling and Flood Risk Assessment (FRA) preparation. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys technical delivery, problem-solving, and influencing development strategies from early concept stages through to planning and design.
You will support the delivery of hydraulic models (fluvial and pluvial) and FRAs for a diverse client base, including property, renewable energy, infrastructure, and aviation. Projects span early-stage feasibility through to planning submissions, masterplanning, outline design, and discharge of conditions.
You will also gain exposure to different consenting regimes, including both Town & Country Planning and Development Consent Orders (DCO).
The role involves close collaboration with the Water Team and wider specialists opportunities for technical development and cross-disciplinary learning.
