Description
To support the Conduct Risk Manager and wider Compliance team with day‑to‑day conduct risk and complaints activities, attending client POG meetings, reviewing FVAs, producing conduct‑specific MI reports and being a subject matter expert on Conduct Risk and Complaints matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Conduct Risk Manager in delivering Asta's annual compliance plan, including all conduct risk and complaints workstreams.
- Oversee and maintain Asta's Conduct Risk Framework, ensuring accurate monitoring and reporting of client conduct risk exposure, handling Conduct Risk referrals from Asta staff or clients and ensure client Conduct Risk profiles are kept up to date.
- Analyse Conduct Risk regulatory changes and provide timely, actionable updates to Asta staff and clients.
- Review compliance policies annually and develop policies where necessary.
- Lead regular compliance meetings with managed clients, offering expert advice and guidance.
- Design and deliver Conduct Risk and Complaints training, both online and in‑person, to staff and clients.
- Monitor syndicates' responses to complaints, oversee CareSmart administration, and ensure robust complaints handling processes.
- Draft Conduct Risk and Complaints communications on regulatory changes for Asta staff.
- Facilitate client onboarding and migration, ensuring all conduct risk and complaints requirements are met.
- Attend Product Oversight Group meetings and act as the primary advisory contact for conduct risk compliance queries.
- Work collaboratively with other Compliance pillar leads and teams to ensure seamless delivery of cross‑functional compliance initiatives and projects, fostering a culture of shared responsibility and mutual support across the Compliance function. Contribute to divisional compliance initiatives and support the development of a shared resource model across the wider Davies Insurance Solutions compliance division.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Strong technical knowledge of UK insurance regulation and experience working within a Lloyd's managing agent specific to Lloyd's Principle 5 – Customer Outcomes, FCA PROD and Consumer Duty.
- Experience of applying conduct and complaints regulatory knowledge and Lloyd's requirements on business lines.
- Strong Conduct Risk and general compliance knowledge and experience within General Insurance sector.
- Degree level education preferable and ACII qualified or working towards this.
- Experience in Lloyd's Complaints handling and CareSmart advantageous
- Competent user of Microsoft Applications (including Co‑Pilot, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), with an aptitude for leveraging technology and AI to improve compliance processes.
