An established, fast-growing consumer-led organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Finance Manager to support a critical phase of commercial expansion. This role sits at the heart of customer and marketing decision-making, combining strategic insight with hands‑on financial leadership.

You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, helping shape investment decisions through robust analysis, clear storytelling, and forward-looking forecasts. Managing and developing a small team, you'll also contribute to broader initiatives designed to improve performance, governance, and ways of working.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate as the lead finance partner to customer‑facing and marketing functions
  • Provide clarity on returns from customer investment and growth initiatives
  • Take full ownership of marketing spend, including budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and variance analysis
  • Deliver insight‑led performance reporting to support commercial decisions
  • Translate complex financial outcomes into clear, actionable messages for non‑finance stakeholders
  • Own forecasting and strategic input across delivery income and subscription‑style revenue streams
  • Support monthly reviews and planning cycles alongside FP&A and data analytics teams
  • Lead, coach, and develop senior finance talent and early‑career professionals
  • Contribute to cross‑functional projects and continuous improvement activity
Candidate Profile
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with solid post‑qualification experience
  • Background in retail, FMCG, e‑commerce, or similarly data‑intensive environments
  • Demonstrable experience managing large investment budgets
  • Strong commercial acumen with the confidence to challenge senior stakeholders
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability
  • Comfortable operating in fast‑paced, evolving environments
  • Collaborative leader with a practical, solutions‑oriented mindset
