Overview

Under the guidance of the Lead Pharmacist for Paediatrics & Women's Health, you will be responsible for the delivery of a responsive, proactive, patient focused clinical pharmacy service.

Responsibilities
  • Providing a clinical pharmacy service to wards including information and advice on the safe, effective and economical use of drugs to health professionals and patients.
  • Clinical ward cover in the following areas: The Local Neonatal Unit (LNU), Children's ward, Paediatric Assessment Unit (PAU) and Gynaecology ward as part of the wider Surgical team.
  • Provision of medicines information to patients and carers as needed.
  • Responsible Pharmacist duties within the dispensary on a rota basis.
  • Embarking on further training to support progression i.e., completion of clinical diploma, independent prescribing, specialist accreditation etc.

The ideal candidate will have had knowledge and exposure to clinical pharmacy in paediatric patients, though this is not essential.
