Job summary

A leading NHS Trust in the United Kingdom is seeking a motivated individual to join their dynamic Ophthalmology department. The successful candidate will perform outpatient clinics, participate in inpatient theatre sessions, and engage in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings as well as ward rounds. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on patient care and clinical excellence across multiple facilities including Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

Job description

Applications are welcome to join a dynamic and motivated Ophthalmology department which provides both general and specialised Ophthalmology services to its patients in North West London. The Department delivers inpatient and outpatient services to the Trust and works closely with the Plastic Surgery, Craniofacial and general Ophthalmology teams to provide a successful and timely support service for patients with a range of benign and malignant conditions.

This post falls within the Division of Planned Care which is led by the Medical Director - Ms Isabel Jones and the Divisional Director of Operations - Osian Powell. The clinical responsibilities of the successful candidate include:

  • attending outpatient clinics
  • inpatient and day case theatre sessions
  • attending the MDT meetings
  • doing ward rounds
  • participating in specialist activities

We provide services from two main hospitals, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and West Middlesex University Hospital, and a number of clinics across London and the South-East. We have over 6,000 members of staff that arePROUD to Carefor nearly one million people. Both hospitals provide full clinical services, including full maternity, emergency and children's, in addition to a range of community-based services across London, such as award-winning sexual health and HIV clinics.
