A leading NHS trust in the West Midlands is seeking a Senior Clinical Fellow in Oral Surgery and Maxillofacial Surgery for a 12-month fixed term contract. The successful candidate will support outpatient clinics and provide patient treatment under local anaesthesia. Responsibilities include teaching, management of junior staff, and participation in the On-Call service. There is an opportunity to join our existing team on a fixed term contract appointment for 12 months with possible extension at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust. We are seeking to appoint a Senior Clinical Fellow in Oral Surgery and Maxillofacial Surgery and provide an excellent opportunity for suitably qualified specialists to actively contribute to the further development of a modern Oral Surgery service within this highly regarded Trust.
The successful post holder will support the Oral & Maxillofacial Consultants in the outpatient clinics and treat patients under local anaesthesia. Our team at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust provides comprehensive oral & maxillofacial surgery services to the local population.
We are a recognised Cancer Centre providing major reconstruction work under a specialised MDT and joint oncology clinics. Our services are supported by Clinical Nurse Specialist and Speech & Language Therapist.
We are looking for enthusiastic and professional individuals to complement our existing team of four Oral & Maxillofacial Consultants, one Orthodontics Consultant, two Specialist Registrars, five DCTs and five Specialty Doctors. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the departmental consultants and play an active part in delivering all elements of the service.
There is an active teaching programme within the department where we hold half day session for teaching and every effort is made to tailor the post to both educational needs and interests of the successful candidate.
