Job summary

A leading NHS hospital is seeking a Senior Clinical Fellow in Anaesthesia (Trauma) for a faternity post from February to August 2026. The successful applicant will provide anaesthesia for trauma patients and supervise junior trainees, with responsibilities tailored to their experience level. Overview

Senior Clinical Fellow in Anaesthesia (Trauma). The closing date is 28 September 2025.

Applications are invited for Senior Clinical Fellow in Anaesthesia (Trauma).

To commence from 04/02/2026 until 04/08/2026.

Main duties of the job

This fellowship post would suit applicants who have completed or nearly completed a recognised anaesthetic specialist training programme, including someone who already possesses a CCT in anaesthesia. The post offers the opportunity to develop and increase anaesthetic experience in anaesthesia for the major trauma patient, prior to taking up a consultant post. The level of supervision will be tailored to the fellow's prior experience with the ultimate aim of independent practice with distant supervision, so to work at junior consultant level with senior consultant support. The fellow would participate in a non-resident on call rota on a 1:8 frequency.
