Job description

Senior Civil Engineer
£50,000 - £57,000
Gloucester

We’re working with a respected civil engineering consultancy in Gloucester, who are now looking to strengthen their team with the addition of a Senior Civil Engineer.

You’ll play a key role in the technical delivery of a broad range of development infrastructure projects covering drainage, highways, earthworks and utilities while mentoring junior staff and working directly with clients.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Leading the design and delivery of drainage, road, and external works across residential, commercial, retail, and healthcare sectors
  • Overseeing production of Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Statements, and utility strategies
  • Producing and reviewing drawings from concept to construction using AutoCAD, MicroDrainage, and ground modelling tools
  • Managing junior engineers and technicians, supporting development across all levels
  • Contributing to new business development and client relationship management
What we’re looking for:
  • Confident in drainage design, SuDS and road infrastructure
  • Degree-qualified with 5+ years’ civil engineering consultancy experience
  • Proficient with AutoCAD, MicroDrainage and modelling software
  • Commercially aware with a proactive approach to client engagement
  • Solid understanding of design standards: DMRB, MfS, Sewers for Adoption
