Job Title: Senior Childcare Practitioner

Location: Wolverhampton

Salary: £37,292 - £41,072 per year

Service: Residential Children’s Care for Young People

Service Users: Young People with social, emotional, and mental health needs / EBD and Mild LD

Essential Requirements
  • Full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months
  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent Verbal Communication skills
  • Energetic & Resilient
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent i.e Level 3 Children & Young Peoples Workforce Diploma (Note Level in Health and Social is not an Equivalent for this role)
Desirable Requirements
  • Experience in a similar role is preferred i.e. roles where you work directly with vulnerable, young adults or children who may have suffered trauma
  • You like being Active, enjoy doing/playing sports such as swimming, cycling, walking
  • Like the Outdoors and doing outdoor pursuits
  • You possess a can-do attitude
  • Can relate to children on all levels
  • Understand this is a 365 days a year job, working various shift patterns
The Children in the Homes

5 to 17 - attachment turma, EBD, who present as 3 to 8 years olds.

About the Role

A national, leading provider of residential care for young people, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Team Leader for their Children's Home. This role involves providing day-to-day care for young people, ensuring smooth operations of the home, and providing leadership and support to the staff team.

Responsibilities
  • Take care of the day-to-day needs of young people in the residential homes.
  • Ensure the home operates at high standards and that staff are supported.
  • Provide leadership to inspire colleagues and build relationships with young people.
  • Step up to deputise for the Registered and Deputy Managers when required.
Benefits and Incentives
  • Base salary of £37,292 - £41,072 per year, made up of;
  • Bonuses for up to 4 sleep-ins per month, paid at £80 per sleep (approx. £2,880 per year).
  • Attendance allowance up to £1,400 per year.

  • 7 weeks’ holiday per year.
