Senior CDM Consultant - Derby

A respected construction consultancy are currently seeking an experienced Senior CDM Consultant to join their Derby-based team, delivering projects across the East Midlands.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Senior CDM Consultant.

The Senior CDM Consultant Role

The successful Senior CDM Consultant will be involved in the full array of CDM and Principal Designer duties on a range of complex projects.

Duties of the Senior CDM Consultant to include
  • Acting as Principal Designer on a range of projects.
  • Providing CDM advisory services from project inception through to completion.
  • Managing and coordinating design risk management processes.
  • Reviewing designs and identifying, eliminating or controlling foreseeable risks.
  • Preparing and maintaining pre-construction information and health and safety files.
  • Liaising with clients, designers, contractors and other duty holders to ensure compliance with CDM Regulations 2015.
  • Attending design team and client meetings.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior members of the CDM team.
The Person
  • Excellent knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015.
  • Experience acting as Principal Designer.
  • Confident communicator, comfortable dealing with clients and project teams.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Organised, proactive and commercially aware.
  • Enjoys taking responsibility and ownership.
