Kelly Park Limited is a family run business founded in August 1994. We are one of Durham County Council’s preferred providers and are delighted to announce we have secured a 6-year contract with the local authority, providing domiciliary home care support to vulnerable adults and children across the county.

Senior Carer team area assignment

Assigned to one of the following areas: Durham, Consett, Stanley, Chester Le Street.

Previous domiciliary care requirement

Previous domiciliary care is an essential requirement as part of this post; the ideal candidate would be carrying our senior care duties as well as supporting our care coordinators and risk assessment team.

Care Based Responsibilities
  • Promoting independence and caring for our service users in their own homes and completing daily tasks.
  • Encourage service users to be actively involved in all aspects of their day‑to‑day care.
  • Accompany our service users to appointments and access their local community.
  • Preparing meals and snacks to help sustain the service user’s nutritional needs.
  • Tidying our service user’s home, assisting with basic domestic care tasks, and ensuring their home environment is an enjoyable space for them.
  • Monitoring including but not limited to spot checks, visit compliance, and audit paperwork including logged events.
Supporting our Care Coordinators
  • Unplanned absences and holiday coverage.
Working Pattern

Our Senior Carers work a predictable and balanced four‑week rota, designed to promote continuity of care while supporting a healthy work‑life balance.

Rota Weeks
  • Weeks 1: Early Shifts — 06:30 to 18:30 (Mon, Tue, Sat, Sun)
  • Weeks 2: Early Shifts — 06:30 to 18:30 (Wed, Thurs, Friday)
  • Weeks 3: Late Shifts — 10:30 to 22:30 (Mon, Tue, Sat, Sun)
  • Weeks 4: Late Shifts — 10:30 to 22:30 (Wed, Thurs, Friday)
Pattern & Hours

Pattern: 4 days on / 3 days off (rotating). Average: 42 hours per week. This structured rota allows for consistent planning, fair rotation, and adequate rest between working weeks, ensuring stability for both staff and residents.

Position progression

This position sits at a natural progression point from care and support within the community to more management responsibilities and administrative duties.
