Job summary

A leading not-for-profit care organization in Bournemouth is looking for a Senior Care Assistant. You will support a team, provide person-centered care, and ensure the well-being of residents in a frail elderly and dementia care home. The ideal candidate is compassionate, has care experience, and ideally holds an NVQ3 in Health & Social Care. Competitive pay at £13.25 per hour for a 36-hour work week.

About The Role

Senior Care Assistant

Pay rate : £13.25 per hour

Hours : 36 hours per week ( Alternate weekends off )

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Care Assistant to join the team at Talbot View, our modern, frail elderly and dementia residential care home. With strong ties to the Ensbury Park Community and promoting an open and inclusive atmosphere, Talbot View is located in Bournemouth.

Responsibilities
  • Work alongside a team of Care Assistants to ensure they are supported and have guidance throughout their shift
  • Identifying the individual needs and abilities of our residents to allow you to deliver person centred care.
  • Supporting residents to help them remain as independent as possible.
  • Providing companionship – really getting to know them!
  • Act as point of escalation for any incidents or events in the home
  • Working in a team to create a co-operative, friendly and welcoming atmosphere around home.
Who are we looking for
  • Someone who is naturally caring and compassionate
  • We want someone who can make a positive impact on the lives of our residents, you will need to be able to inspire and nurture your team to be at their best every day.
  • You’ll have completed or be working towards an NVQ3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
  • With your previous care experience you will have the knowledge and understanding of care planning and administering medication.
