Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Northampton is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to support the Care team in delivering high standards of personal care. Overview

Senior Care Assistant role at Avery Healthcare in Northampton. You will support the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

Job responsibilities
  • Monitor the wellbeing of each resident, observe changes impacting care and care plans, ensure new needs are met, and update written records to reflect any variation.
  • Participate in the person-centred care planning process, including implementing, monitoring and undertaking monthly evaluations.
  • Support residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertake staff supervision and support staff development where required.
  • Act as a key point of contact for residents, relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals; handle reasonable requests and escalate concerns or complaints as needed.

  • NVQ 3 (or equivalent) in care for care homes.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar care environment.
