This role as a Senior Care Assistant - Nights at Avery Healthcare's Darwin Court Care Home in Lichfield involves supporting and working alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

Main duties of the job

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. Other responsibilities include monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being involved in the person‑centred care planning process, supporting residents with their medication requirements, undertaking staff supervisions, and acting as a key point of contact.

  • Being involved in person‑centred care planning – implementing, monitoring, and evaluating monthly plans.
  • Supporting residents with medication requirements.
  • Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff development where required.
  • Acting as a key point of contact with residents, relatives, visitors and health and social care professionals, ensuring requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints are escalated.
