This role is for a Senior Care Assistant - Nights at Avery Healthcare's Amarna House Care Home in York. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and working alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

Main duties of the job

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will monitor the wellbeing of each resident, be involved in the person-centred care planning process, support residents with their medication requirements, and undertake staff supervisions. You will also act as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives, and healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate should have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes, 2 years' experience in a similar care environment, strong communication skills, and a positive attitude towards supporting and nurturing residents and staff.

• Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
• Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
• Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.
