Overview

Job Title: Senior Care Assistant

Location: Richmond Witney Coral Springs Way, Witney, Oxfordshire, OX28 5DG

Salary: £14.40ph & Excellent Benefits

Contract: Permanent 36hrs per week

Shift Pattern: 8am - 8pm - Weekends on Rota

Welcome Bonus: £500

*Starter Bonus: A one-off £500 starter bonus is offered after four weeks’ service, paid in the next available pay run, subject to deductions for tax and NI. Ts & Cs apply.

You’ll be pivotal in running a unit, responsible for all clinical duties in the home, including observation, medication, reviewing care plans and accurate record keeping. Your clinical expertise will support all CQC responsibilities. We aim to provide high-quality, personal and social care with kindness and warmth.

You’ll have completed / be working towards an NVQ3 in care. We’re happy to support you in completing your qualification if needed.

You’ll receive a thorough induction, ongoing training and development including access to apprenticeships, plus access to our online portal with resources for personal development and free LinkedIn Learning.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day responsibility for running a unit
  • Responsible for all clinical duties including issuing medication, reviewing care plans, and accurate record keeping
  • Leading and managing a team of Care Assistants, including responsibility for all shift handovers
  • Training and supervision of new staff to ensure they feel welcomed and supported
  • Building relationships with residents, their families and external teams (GPs, District Nurses)
  • Assisting residents with a range of personal care duties

DBS check required as part of recruitment; Bupa will cover the cost (£40).
