Overview
We have opportunities for a Full Time Senior Care Assistant on Days (44hrs per week) and a Full Time Senior Carer on Nights (33hrs per week). Availability to discuss in interview.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement care to give residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence.
- Know residents and their families to deliver truly personalised care plans.
- Lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain the highest standards of care; act as a positive influence on the team.
- Provide support in daily activities, including helping with mobility aids, meals at end of life, and communicating with residents’ families.
- Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager; help provide physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities; administer medication as required.
- Maintain accurate records of the work performed and build strong team relationships.
Qualifications
- Ideally, Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care (S/NVQ) and willingness to work towards Level 3 or equivalent.
- Background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
- Essential: positive energy, ability to get along with people, good record keeping, time management, and genuine kindness and consideration when communicating with residents and co-workers.
