Main duties

As a Senior Care Assistant, your primary focus will be to support the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff. You will monitor the wellbeing of each resident, be involved in person-centered care planning, support residents with their medication requirements, and undertake staff supervisions. You will also act as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives, and healthcare professionals, ensuring reasonable requests are addressed and concerns or complaints are escalated.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, awareness of changes impacting care and care plans, ensuring new needs are met, and written records reflect any variation.
• Being involved in the person-centred care planning process, implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
• Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development.
• Acting as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals, ensuring reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints are escalated.
