A leading healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a Senior Care Assistant. In this full-time role, you will implement personalized care plans, lead a team, and ensure the highest standards of care. Ideal candidates will have a Level 2 Diploma or NVQ in Adult Care and a background in person-centred care. As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. You will plan and implement care that gives residents security, dignity and independence. You will get to know residents and their families to deliver truly personalised care plans. You will lead a team of Care Assistants, maintain the highest standards of care and influence the rest of the team. You may demonstrate how to use a walking frame, assist someone at the end of life with a meal or speak with a resident's family on the phone, always with kindness. You will assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication. A key responsibility is maintaining accurate records and building strong relationships with your team.
Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma or NVQ in Adult Care and be prepared to work towards Level 3 qualification in Adult Care or equivalent, with a background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia. What is essential is your positive energy and ability to get along with people. You will understand what good record keeping looks like and be able to manage your time effectively. You will communicate with residents and co-workers with consideration and kindness. This is a full-time position of 38.5 hours a week following a 3 on 3 off shift pattern.

Safeguarding is everyones responsibility and it is important to recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if there are concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and undertake additional training. You will have the ability to seek advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
