A large housing association is seeking a Senior Fixed Asset Accountant to lead fixed asset processes and ensure accurate monthly reporting. Ideal candidates will be qualified accountants with experience in the housing or property sectors and have strong analytical and communication skills. The role offers a flexible working environment based in Basingstoke, with opportunities for travel. The fixed asset team are responsible for SNG's fixed asset register for housing, investment and other fixed assets (c.£7bn). Reporting into the Fixed Asset & Capital Accounting Manager, and working alongside our Fixed Asset Accountants, you'll lead the effective delivery of fixed asset processes to ensure timely and accurate monthly reporting. You'll play a leading role with the ongoing administration of the fixed asset register, ensuring new additions, disposals and other updates are correctly accounted for and reconciled in line with SNG's accounting policies. You'll also provide input into SNG's capitalisation policy, working with business owners and finance business partners to ensure SNG remains compliant with changes to FRS102, housing SORP requirements and industry best practices.
You'll be a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with demonstrable experience in a similar role within fixed asset accounting. You'll need experience from within the Housing or Property sectors, or from within a large commercial organisation with a comprehensive fixed asset register. You'll also need:
