Role Overview

An opportunity is available at Bolton CAMHS for a BAND 6 Senior CAMHS Mental Health Practitioner to join our friendly and hardworking team. Assessments, formulation, and treatment are provided to support the needs of CYPs in collaboration with the full MDT at CAMHS.

Our service is dedicated to continuous improvement, and we have recently implemented changes that have positively impacted the care we provide to CYPs.

If you are looking to be part of a fast‑paced and dynamic team committed to enhancing the lives of children, young people, and their families, we invite Registered Mental Health Nurses, Social Workers, and Occupational Therapists to apply. We welcome applicants from adult backgrounds and will provide full training and induction. Mentorship and extra support is available.

As a busy and collaborative service, we offer various treatment approaches such as individual, group, and family work.

The successful candidate will have access to clinical supervision, individual line management and will be passionate about training and continuous professional development.

  • Provide assessment, formulation, interventions, advice and risk management for children and young people with mental health problems within the THRIVE framework.
  • Engage proactively with young people and families to promote positive relationships.
  • Discuss all cases in daily huddles and receive clinical supervision.
  • Demonstrate an attitude that respects and values service users and their carers.
  • Embrace the core values of the organisation, adopt the principles of Recovery and THRIVE, and promote safe practices.
