Job summary

A leading health trust in Oxford is seeking a Senior Mental Health Worker to support young people and families in accessing mental health services. The role requires a registered clinician in nursing, occupational therapy, or social work, along with experience in multi-agency working. Qualifications

  • Registered clinician in mental health nursing, occupational therapy, or social work.
  • Clinically relevant knowledge acquired through post qualifying training.
  • Experience of working with children and young people with mental health difficulties.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out high-quality, needs-led mental health triage and assessments.
  • Work collaboratively with internal CAMHS teams and external agencies.
  • Provide consultation, training, and supervision to support early identification.
  • Contribute to service development through audits and quality assurance processes.

Skills

Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding risk assessment
Knowledge and understanding of mental health risk assessment
Ability to organise own time
Work autonomously within the team

Education

Mental Health or equivalent professional health qualification
