A leading recruitment firm in the UK is seeking a Senior Building Surveyor for a hybrid role managing PPM projects for residential estates. The ideal candidate will be MRICS qualified with experience in managing residential refurbishment projects valued up to £3 million. This position offers flexible working, with only one day required in the office per week. Strong communication skills and team collaboration are essential for successful performance in this role.
We are working with an expanding Building Surveying department who oversee and lead the project management and surveying across a 200,000+ private residential estate portfolio across the UK. They are currently looking for a Senior Building Surveyor to join their team covering the Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire region.
£60,000 - £75,000 + benefits package + bonus.
Hybrid home based role with 1 day in the office per week.
The Senior Building Surveyor will join in a project biased role overseeing the northern home counties residential lease hold portfolio and therefore this would ideally suit someone based in the Milton Keynes, Bedford or Cambridge area. The role offers a fully flexible hybrid work set up being based 1 day per fortnight in the office for team meetings and the rest of the surveyors time from home or at site visits.
The core role will be 65% focused on the project management and contracts administration of their residential block internal and external common parts refurbishment projects valued between £50,000 and c. £3 million in line with the agreed PPM (planned preventative maintenance reports) with some additional commercial asset projects. In addition to the project work the Building Surveyor will also complete the professional work covering due diligence, reinstatement cost assessment, dilapidations, defect diagnosis and building pathology and inputting into the 5 / 10-year PPM’s.
