Job summary

Immunocore is seeking a Senior Scientist I in Characterisation within CMC in the UK. You will lead peptide mapping and mass spectrometry analyses for biologics, supporting drug substance/product characterisation and process development.

You will design experiments, develop analytical methods (LC-MS/MS, HPLC), interpret data, and contribute to reports and meetings with internal and partner teams. A strong team player with bench experience in biopharma is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in development of HPLC-based peptide mapping methods and MS characterisation of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Experience with glycosylation analysis of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Independently coordinated extensive testing of protein biomolecules.
• Familiar with analyses of proteins expressed in microbial and mammalian systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct biochemical and stability characterisation studies of biologics and drug products.
• Contribute to method development for characterisation of ImmTAX and related products (LC-MS/MS, intact mass).
• Write study protocols and reports; present findings to teams and partners.
