Immunocore in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Scientist I - Characterisation within the CMC team to advance biopharmaceutical product characterisation. The role focuses on peptide mapping (LC-MS/MS), glycosylation analysis, and robust protein characterization across microbial and mammalian systems.

You will drive method development, data interpretation, and cross-functional collaboration. Applicants should hold a BSc/MSc in relevant field with strong MS/LC methods experience; GMP

Competenze

• Experience in development of HPLC based peptide mapping methods and mass spectrometric characterisation of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Experience of glycosylation analysis of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Independently coordinated extensive testing of protein biomolecules.
• Characterisation of proteins expressed in microbial and mammalian systems.
• Understanding of expected post-translational modifications in biological systems.
• Bench-based biopharmaceutical laboratory experience.
• Expert in electrophoretic, chromatographic, or mass spectrometry techniques.
• Experience in assay development.
• Familiar with stability study principles and interpretation.

Mansioni

• Support drug substance and drug product impurity characterisation and identification.
• Contribute to development of characterisation methods for ImmTAX and other products (peptide mapping LC-MS/MS and intact mass analysis).
• Design and carry out biochemical characterisation, chemistry stability and comparability studies of biologics/drug products.
• Contribute to writing study protocols and reports.
• Independently testing and leading lines of investigation, proposing new experiments.
