Job summary

Immunocore Ltd. is seeking a Senior Scientist I - Characterisation within the CMC organization in the UK. You will develop and apply peptide mapping (LC-MS/MS) and mass spectrometry to characterise recombinant proteins and antibodies, contributing to biopharmaceutical product characterisation.

You will design biochemical characterisation and stability studies, mentor colleagues, and contribute to study protocols and reports, supporting ImmTAX and related biologics with robust analytical methods.

Qualifications

• Experience in development of HPLC-based peptide mapping methods and MS characterisation of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Glycosylation analysis of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Independently coordinated extensive testing of protein biomolecules.
• Characterisation of proteins expressed in microbial and mammalian systems.
• Understanding of expected post-translational modifications in biological systems.
• Bench-based biopharmaceutical laboratory experience.
• Expertise in electrophoretic, chromatographic or mass spectrometry methods.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply peptide mapping (LC-MS/MS) and mass spectrometry to characterise recombinant proteins and antibodies.
• Lead characterisation studies for biologics and ImmTAX products.
• Contribute to study protocols and reports and mentor colleagues.
• Design and execute biochemical characterisation and stability studies.
