Senior Building Surveyor Leeds (and surrounding areas) Permanent | Full-time
Turner Property Recruitment are working with a well-established, forward-thinking multidisciplinary consultancy to appoint a Senior / Associate level Building Surveyor into their growing Leeds team.
This is a busy, varied role offering real autonomy, high-quality instructions, and the opportunity to play a key part in the continued growth of the surveying function.
The Role You will be responsible for delivering a wide range of professional building surveying services, with a strong focus on insurance-related projects, primarily within the residential sector.
Key responsibilities include:
Inspecting and advising on the design, construction, maintenance, repair and refurbishment of buildings
Undertaking acquisition surveys, condition reports, measured surveys and defect investigations
Preparing reports, schedules of works and specifications
Contract administration and overseeing works to recognised building contracts and current technical standards
Managing large-value projects independently
Applying relevant legislation including Building Regulations, CDM 2015, Party Wall and Health & Safety
Supporting and mentoring APC candidates
Actively contributing to business development and client relationships
About You MRICS qualified (or equivalent experience at Senior level)
Strong background in building surveying consultancy
Proven experience in defect diagnosis, report writing and contract administration
Insurance repair project experience preferred
Confident working independently and managing multiple projects
Strong communication skills with a professional, client-focused approach
Comfortable working to deadlines and within budgets
