A well-respected architectural practice in Cambridge seeks a Senior Architectural Technician to contribute to technical delivery across diverse projects. You will produce high-quality technical drawings and ensure compliance with UK building regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a degree or HND in Architectural Technology, experience in a UK practice, and strong technical detailing skills, ideally proficient in Revit. This role offers a salary between £40,000 and £47,000 with a collaborative work environment.

Senior Architectural Technician

Location: Cambridge

Salary: £40-47,000

A well‑respectful, long‑established architectural practice recognised for its thoughtful and sustainable approach is seeking an experienced Architectural Technician to join its friendly, collaborative Cambridge studio. With a portfolio spanning education, healthcare, cultural, and residential projects, the team is committed to delivering high‑quality work grounded in design integrity and technical excellence. In this role, you will contribute significantly to the technical delivery of a diverse range of projects, working closely with architects, consultants, and external teams to ensure seamless progression from early design stages through to construction.

Key responsibilities
  • Produce high-quality technical drawings and detailed construction packages
  • Coordinate design information with consultants, contractors, and internal project teams
  • Support project delivery across RIBA Stages 3-6
  • Ensure compliance with current UK building regulations and relevant technical standards
  • Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary design environment
  • Assist with the technical delivery of projects during on‑site stages
Skills & experience
  • Degree or HND in Architectural Technology
  • Experience working within a UK architectural practice
  • Strong technical detailing skills with robust construction knowledge
  • Solid understanding of UK building regulations and construction methods
  • Proficiency in Revit, with an awareness of BIM protocols and processes
