Qualifications

  • Degree-qualified in Ecology, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
  • Proven experience in ecological fieldwork and protected species surveys.
  • Holder of Natural England survey licences for at least two protected species.
  • Strong understanding of UK ecological legislation and policy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The Candidate
  • Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in ecological fieldwork and protected species surveys
  • Holder of Natural England survey licences for at least two protected species
  • Member (or working towards membership) of CIEEM
  • Strong understanding of UK ecological legislation, policy, and best practice
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive, organised, and team-focused, with strong mentoring abilities
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required
Desirable
  • EPS mitigation licence application experience
  • Familiarity with GIS systems (e.g., ArcGIS)
  • Previous experience in multi-disciplinary environmental projects
  • Interest in business development and client relationship management
