Job description

Our client is looking for a new senior staff member to join their busy office in Sudbury. It is expected that the successful candidate will be fully qualified ACCA or ACA, potentially with some post-qualification experience.

The role will involve managing accountancy and taxation matters for a variety of small business clients and will include managing the preparation of financial statements and related taxation computations to a final stage.

The successful individual will report directly to a partner, will be responsible for managing a small team of accounts staff, and will be expected to raise and clear queries and deal with routine enquiries from clients.

The candidate should be adept at organising their own work priorities and timings from a range of available work and assignments. They should have an awareness of the administrative requirements related to client management and will be responsible for ongoing updating and collating of administrative information.

The candidate will be responsible for allocating assignments to individual staff members, reviewing progress, assisting with queries and on-the-job training, bringing accounts prepared to a final stage, and drafting letters/emails to forward accounts to clients for signature or partner review.
