Salary: £90–£100 per day (PAYE – no umbrella hassle)

Start Date: January 2026

You’re the calm in the chaos. The one who sees potential where others see a challenge. If you thrive on helping children feel safe, seen, and supported, this role could be your next brilliant step.

A welcoming North London primary school is on the lookout for a skilled SEND Teaching Assistant to work across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. The pupils you’ll support need consistency, kindness, and someone who’s got the confidence to step in when things get tricky.

This isn’t just a classroom support role. It’s an opportunity to shape a child’s whole day, every day.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Working 1:1 and in small groups with pupils with SEND (including ASD, SEMH, and ADHD)
  • Helping children build trust, routine, and confidence across learning and play
  • Using de‑escalation strategies and sensory interventions to manage emotional and behavioural needs
  • Working with class teachers, parents, and the school’s pastoral and inclusion teams to ensure consistency and progress
What we’re looking for:
  • Team Teach or PEBS trained
  • Experience supporting children with SEND in KS1 or KS2
  • A calm, proactive approach and a strong sense of humour
  • Someone confident supporting children with regulation, transitions, and behaviour plans
Why you’ll love this role:
  • Dedicated sensory spaces and breakout zones
  • A supportive SLT who understand the value of great TAs
  • Weekly CPD, team check‑ins, and development pathways
  • Staff lunches cooked fresh on‑site
Why work with Protocol Education?
