Job description

We are seeking a committed and experienced Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming primary-aged special school in the heart of Moseley. This post is currently for daily supply opportunities.

The pupils have a wide range of needs, including complex learning difficulties, communication needs, and autism. We are therefore looking for individuals who already have experience working in a special school or specialist SEN setting, and who are confident supporting children with diverse and individual needs.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have previous experience working in a special school or specialist SEN environment
  • Be patient, resilient and nurturing, with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Support pupils both in the classroom and with personal, social and emotional development
  • Adapt support strategies to meet a variety of learning and behavioural needs
