Job summary

Flourish Education are recruiting for a QTS-qualified SEN Teacher for a specialist SEN school in Redditch. The contract runs from January 2027 until July 2027, with pupils presenting SEMH, ASD and ADHD in a structured, personalised curriculum.

You will plan and deliver lessons, adapt content to individual needs, and work with Teaching Assistants to support progress, behaviour, and independence within a supportive school team.

Qualifications

• QTS is required for the role.
• Experience teaching within SEN or specialist education is desirable.
• Strong differentiation and adaptive teaching skills are essential.
• Confident behaviour management and clear communication are important.

Job description

Flourish Education are working with a specialist SEN school in Redditch who are looking for a QTS-qualified SEN Teacher to join their team from January 2027 until July 2027.

The school supports pupils with a variety of additional needs, including SEMH, Autism, ADHD, communication difficulties and complex learning needs. You will work as part of a dedicated specialist teaching team, delivering a structured and personalised curriculum.

The successful candidate will be confident adapting lessons to individual needs and supporting pupils who may present with challenging behaviour or require additional support with emotional regulation.

Job Role:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons within a specialist setting
• Adapt the curriculum to meet individual needs
• Teach pupils with SEMH, ASD, ADHD and complex needs
• Assess, monitor and record pupil progress
• Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour
• Work closely with specialist Teaching Assistants
• Contribute to EHCP outcomes and individual support plans
• Maintain clear routines and expectations
• Encourage pupils to develop independence and confidence

Required Skills and Experience:

• QTS is essential
• Previous teaching experience
• Experience working within SEN or specialist education is desirable
• Knowledge of SEMH, ASD and ADHD
• Experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour
• Strong understanding of differentiation and adaptive teaching
• Confident behaviour management
• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• Pay from £174.71 to £240.70 per day, equivalent to £34,068 to £46,937 based on working five days a week for a full school year, dependent on experience (M1–M6)

This SEN Teacher role is based in a specialist SEND school in Redditch and is easily commutable from Astwood Bank, Headless Cross, Studley, Bromsgrove, Alvechurch, Droitwich Spa, Worcester and surrounding areas.
