SEND Teacher – Primary – Complex Learning Needs – Coventry

A welcoming and supportive SEND school in Coventry is seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to join their team, teaching a small class of primary aged pupils with complex learning needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for a SEND Teacher who is passionate about making a real difference and wants to work in a school where staff feel valued and supported from day one.

As a SEND Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering a personalised and engaging curriculum that meets the individual needs of each pupil. You will be supported by a skilled team of Teaching Assistants and have access to a wide range of resources to help pupils thrive both academically and emotionally.

Job role responsibilities include:
  • Teaching a small class of primary aged pupils with complex learning needs
  • Planning and delivering differentiated lessons to meet a range of abilities
  • Working closely with Teaching Assistants to provide consistent and effective support
  • Creating a calm, positive, and structured classroom environment
  • Supporting pupils with communication, social development, and emotional regulation
  • Monitoring progress and contributing to reviews and planning meetings
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
The ideal SEND Teacher will have:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEND, complex needs, or additional learning needs (desirable but not essential)
  • A patient, flexible, and nurturing approach to teaching
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine commitment to supporting pupils with SEND to reach their full potential
