TeacherActive is proud to be working in partnership with a highly supportive and specialist SEND provision in Bristol. We are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEND Learning Support Assistants who are confident in supporting pupils aged 2-19 with severe learning disabilities (SLD) and profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD). Many of our pupils also have co-existing needs such as autistic spectrum condition (ASC) or complex medical requirements, so a calm, proactive approach is essential.

What We're Looking For:

• ✅ CACHE Level 2/3 (or equivalent), or a minimum of 6 months experience supporting children or young people with additional needs in an educational, care, or specialist setting.
• ✅ Confidence in supporting pupils with a wide range of complex needs, including SLD, PMLD, ASC, communication difficulties, sensory needs, and/or medical requirements.
• ✅ Ability to promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation, using de‑escalation techniques and consistent, nurturing approaches to help pupils remain engaged and ready to learn.
• ✅ Flexibility to work across different classes, key stages, and need types, supporting pupils aged 2-19 and adapting to a variety of routines, learning activities, and therapy‑led environments.
