We are seeking an experienced and dedicated SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) for a secondary school in Halifax, available to start immediately. This is a key leadership role for a passionate professional committed to inclusion and improving outcomes for all learners.

The Role:
  • Lead and manage SEND provision across the secondary school
  • Coordinate support for students in line with the SEND Code of Practice
  • Work closely with teaching staff, support teams, parents, and external agencies
  • Oversee EHCPs, annual reviews, and individual support plans
  • Monitor student progress and ensure effective interventions are in place
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • National Award for SEN Coordination (desirable but not essential)
  • Experience in a SENCO or senior SEND role within a secondary setting
  • Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and best practice
