Overview
Are you a passionate and patient educator looking to make a real difference in a young person's life?
We are seeking a dedicated Tutor to work on a 1:1 basis with a young learner currently in Year 7 who has an EHCP and a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This student is not currently working at age-related expectations and requires tailored support in English, Maths, and engagement in learning.
About the Learner

About you
- Experience working with neurodiverse learners or those with additional needs
- Strong skills in English and Maths
- Ability to build rapport and trust with young people
- Creative and adaptable teaching style
- Commitment to making learning accessible and enjoyable
Tutor responsibilities
- 1:1 tuition delivered in a supportive environment
- Planning and delivering engaging sessions tailored to the learner's needs
- Monitoring progress and adapting strategies as needed
- Working closely with other professionals involved in the learner's education
Position details

- Full time/part-time - Part time - 10 hours per week across 4 days
- Hours - Monday to Friday - Flexible dates and timings
Essential & Desirable Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people
- Trauma-informed - desirable
Eligibility to apply

- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide references upon request
- Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
