SEN Teaching Assistant - Outstanding Special School

Allerdale Start Date: January 2025 Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm Pay: 90 - 118.89 per day Contract: January 2025 - July 2025 (with potential to become temp-to-perm)

Tradewind Recruitment is proud to be supporting an Outstanding-rated Special School in Allerdale, providing exceptional education for children and young people aged 2-19 with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). The school is seeking a compassionate, committed, and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team from January 2025.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils aged 2-19 with SLD, PMLD, complex needs, and communication difficulties
  • Work closely with a highly skilled multidisciplinary team to deliver personalised learning, sensory activities, and therapeutic support
  • Assist with mobility, personal care, feeding, and communication strategies (full training provided)
  • Create a nurturing, safe, and consistent environment that promotes independence and wellbeing
  • Support EHCP targets through structured 1:1 and small-group activities

Experience in SEN settings is beneficial but not essential. The school welcomes applicants who demonstrate empathy, patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners.
