SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 & Whole Class Support)

  • Location: Nuneaton, Coventry, CV10
  • Weekly Rate: 480- 500
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Hours: Full Time - 8:30am to 3:30pm (Term Time Only)
  • Contract: Long Term with potential for Permanent

We are recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a modern, two-form entry primary school in Nuneaton. This long-term role will involve a combination of 1:1 support and whole-class SEN support, primarily working with a Year 5 pupil with ASD and ADHD, while also assisting the class teacher and supporting other pupils as required. The role offers the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, and additional behavioural needs
  • Confidence in managing challenging behaviour in a calm, consistent manner
  • Experience working with EHCPs and contributing to reviews and target setting
  • The ability to support both individual pupils and whole-class learning effectively
  • A collaborative approach, working closely with class teachers and the wider SEN team
  • A strong understanding of the UK primary curriculum and inclusive SEN strategies
