Role Overview

The Education Network is currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a supportive school setting in Bradford. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
  • Working one-to-one or with small groups to support learning and development.
  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Ideal Candidate
  • Have experience working with children or young people with SEN (school-based or alternative settings).
  • Be patient, empathetic, and adaptable.
  • Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Be committed to supporting pupils' individual needs and progress.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service, or be willing to apply for one.
