About the school

This school provides highly effective education, therapy, welfare and support for both boys and girls aged from 6 to 19 years who have social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), as well as other complex needs.

The school sits across three sites and delivers a structured program of education, tailored to each student's individual needs and considering their Education, Health and Care plans. Students are taught in small cohorts and individually, by fully qualified teachers and instructors.

About the Role

As a SEN Teacher, you will have the freedom to bring your creativity and practical teaching expertise to life. Every day will bring new challenges, but the rewards of seeing pupils grow in confidence, independence, and resilience are unparalleled.

You will deliver engaging lessons across a range of subjects, plan and assess teaching sessions in line with curriculum developments, and create stimulating learning environments both inside and outside the classroom. You will write, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs), set achievable targets, and build strong, positive relationships with pupils to encourage participation and motivation. Supporting pupils with complex needs and promoting their social, emotional, and behavioral development will also be a key part of your role.

What We're Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) / PGCE
  • Experience teaching a broad range of subjects at Primary level, delivering lessons of a good or outstanding standard
  • Knowledge of current education practices, curriculum frameworks, and SEN provision
  • Experience in specialist or SEN settings, supporting pupils with SEMH/EBD or challenging behaviors
  • Creativity, patience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in the classroom
