About the Role:

As an SEN Teacher, you'll work closely with pupils, families, and colleagues to deliver tailored support plans, adapted lessons, and targeted interventions that meet each child's individual needs. You’ll foster a positive classroom environment that builds confidence, promotes independence, and encourages social development.

Your Responsibilities:

• Implement personalised learning programmes for pupils with diverse needs, including SEMH, Autism, and other SEN.
• Adapt your teaching methods to suit different learning styles and abilities.
• Support the development of social skills, behaviour management, and emotional well-being.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, parents, and external agencies to review and refine support strategies.
• Track progress and modify plans to ensure all pupils can achieve their full potential.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that promotes curiosity and confidence.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A relevant teaching qualification (such as QTS or equivalent).
• Experience working in SEN or specialist educational settings.
• Good knowledge of SEND legislation and inclusive teaching practices.
• A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting diverse learners.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-focused attitude.
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and child protection policies.
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (preferably registered on the Update Service).
