Job Title: SEN Teacher - Full Time - September Start
Location: Derby
Salary: 170-250 per day (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (with potential for long-term or permanent)

We are working with a supportive and specialist school in Derby seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher to join their team full-time from September. The role involves working with pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH, in a nurturing and inclusive setting.

Responsibilities
  • Planning and delivering differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCPs
  • Creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Supporting students with complex needs, both academically and emotionally
  • Working closely with support staff, therapists, and parents/carers
  • Managing challenging behaviour using a positive and trauma-informed approach
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
  • Experience teaching in an SEN, SEMH, or alternative provision setting
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • A calm, patient, and resilient attitude
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
