Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Science Teacher looking for your next rewarding opportunity? Academics are currently seeking an enthusiastic teacher of Science with experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to join one of our well-regarded partner schools in the Halifax area.

This is an exciting full-time, temp-to-perm position, ideal for a teacher who is committed to making a real difference to young people who require additional support in their learning.

The Role
  • Deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons across KS3-KS4
  • Support learners with a variety of SEN needs (e.g. SEMH, ASD, MLD)
  • Create a nurturing, inclusive and positive classroom environment
  • Work closely with the SENCO, support staff, and wider teaching team
  • Adapt teaching strategies and practical lessons to meet individual learning needs
  • Assess progress and provide meaningful feedback to promote growth
About You
  • QTS or QTLS (or is an ECT with SEN experience)
  • A strong understanding of SEN and effective classroom adaptations
  • Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
  • A positive, patient and resilient approach
  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
