Job summary

An educational recruitment agency is seeking an Outreach Tutor in Brentwood to provide tailored tuition for children with special educational needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating personalized lessons and re-engaging students who may have been out of education. This role offers flexible part-time and full-time opportunities at a pay rate of £25-£30 per hour. Successful candidates will also benefit from accredited professional development courses and in-house training.

• Over 6 months of experience working in a UK school.
• Hold Right to Work in the UK.
• Provide two professional child related references.

Responsibilities

• Create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons.
• Re-engage pupils in their learning and offer structure.
• Monitor progression and support effective learning.

Skills

Experience working with SEN

Ability to create tailored lessons

Up to date Safeguarding training

Excellent communication skills

Education

QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent
