Job summary

A specialist school is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support neurodiverse children, including those with autism and complex needs. Ideal candidates will be Psychology or Criminology graduates with an interest in pursuing careers in SEN Teaching or related fields. Responsibilities include assisting with the social and academic development of pupils while engaging in training and therapeutic methods. The role offers £85 to £95 per day with ongoing training provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate with a strong academic background, preferably in Psychology or Criminology.
• Strong interest in supporting neurodiverse children.
• Previous experience in educational or therapeutic settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support students with a range of Special Educational Needs across the classroom.
• Contribute to the social, emotional, and academic development of pupils.
• Engage with restorative practices and other strategies from therapists.
• Assist in safeguarding training and the integrated therapy programme.
