Key Stage 2 Learning Support Assistants – SEN School – Andover

We are currently recruiting for enthusiastic and caring Learning Support Assistants to join a dedicated team at a specialist SEN school in Andover, supporting pupils in Key Stage 2. These are full-time, long-term roles ideal for individuals passionate about inclusive education and making a real difference in children’s lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties
  • Assist in delivering engaging and differentiated learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO
  • Support pupils with emotional regulation, social interaction, and communication development
  • Help implement EHCP targets and behaviour support strategies
  • Contribute to a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
  • Assist with personal care and sensory needs where required

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN, particularly in a Key Stage 2 setting
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN (desirable but not essential)
