Overview

Job Title: SEN Inclusion Room Supervisor

Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire

Contract Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only

The Role
  • Supervising students referred to the Inclusion Room for behaviour or wellbeing-related reasons.
  • Ensuring a positive and respectful environment where students can reflect, refocus, and reintegrate.
  • Liaising with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and SENCO to ensure students continue to access learning.
  • Implementing behaviour and support strategies in line with the school's policies.
  • Keeping accurate records of incidents, progress, and interventions.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Have experience working with secondary-aged students, particularly those with behavioural, social, emotional, or learning needs.
  • Be calm, patient, and resilient under pressure.
  • Be confident in managing challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Be committed to promoting equality, inclusion, and wellbeing for all students.
Desirable
  • Prior experience in a school-based role or in an inclusion/pastoral capacity.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, youth work, or behaviour support.
  • Team Teach or other behaviour management training (training can be provided).
