Job description

We are currently recruiting a Cover Supervisor to work in a North Manchester SEN primary school.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading pre-planned lessons, maintaining a positive classroom environment, and supporting students with additional, behavioural and complex needs. The school’s objective is to provide all children with the opportunity to develop their abilities and character within a secure, inclusive, and encouraging setting.

Essential Requirements
  • Experience working with young people.
  • Confidence in leading a classroom and delivering pre-prepared lesson content.
  • Full availability during school hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm.
Preferred but Not Essential
  • Experience leading Primary classes.
  • Experience supporting students’ additional needs.
  • A proactive, resilient, and calm approach

We seek an individual who is confident, adaptable, and passionate about helping young people engage positively with their learning. The ideal candidate will be able to manage behaviour effectively, build rapport quickly, and deliver set lessons in a clear and engaging way—no QTS required.
