As a Security Officer at Colchester Hospital, you'll play a key role in protecting patients, staff, visitors, and hospital facilities. Responsibilities
  • Welcome staff and visitors while ensuring compliance with security protocols
  • Monitor CCTV, access control systems, and other security technology
  • Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and maintenance issues
  • Answer and transfer calls, relay messages, and offer guidance to guests and colleagues
  • Conduct regular security patrols throughout your shift
Qualifications
  • A valid SIA license (essential) and SIA Door Supervision Licence essential
  • Awareness of security procedures and emergency response protocols
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to interact with staff, visitors, and emergency services
  • Previous experience in a similar role
Contract and Benefits
  • 42 hours per week, 12-hour shifts on a rota basis to include some weekends: 4 on 4 off, 16:00 to 04:00
  • £12.36 per hour + night enhancement
